DRUGS: A LOT GOES A REALLY LONG WAY
Drugs: prescription or beverage?
I guess I could wait until my 7 days are up to get rid of my drippy nose but that cough had to go. Went to my doc. After a few questions, like what color is the…the…snot, (it just drips), what have you been taking (water, aspirin, orange juice, a gulp or two of whiskey, and one Mucinex tablet), she chuckled. Then she gave me her recommendation, a cough medicine and a pill for my congestion. Why the pharmacist thinks I know what a milliliter is, I don’t know but the directions say TAKE 5 MILILLITERS BY ORAL ROUT EVERY 8 HOURS PRN COUGH. So I took a healthy swig. Oh, yea and the warning: MAY CAUSE DROWSINESS. I slept all that day and awoke at 4am. So what is a milliliter, you ask somebody with Kleenex stuffed up her nostrils. 1 US tsp is about 5 milliliters and 1/6 of fluid ounces. Looking at the bottle this morning after not coughing all day and night. I’m good.
